Midweek Message – November 30, 2017

We had a great start to our Angels Among Us series last week! Thanks to everyone for making it come alive!

This week, Mary is visited by Gabriel. Scripture is Luke 1: 26-56

It is Birthday Sunday at Riverview and nobody has signed up for fellowship time… it is because you don’t want to make a cake? 😉 I will bring a cake!

Naomi and Dahlia found the Angel Booth at Riverview! Betty Allen will be on hand after worship at Riverview to take your picture!

There is LOTS going on over the next month, here are some of them. In the midst of all the business, don’t forget WHY we celebrate at this time of year.

Ecumenical Advent Service at Elmsdale Baptist Church – Dec. 3, 2017 @ 7pm. We are asked to bring 3 plates of sweets for the reception.

Let us take the chill out of your Christmas shopping with homemade chili, fresh buns, a beverage and your choice of homemade desserts along with some Christmas entertainment.  Christmas Carol Chili Supper. Sunday December 10th – Riv. @ 4:00-6:00 pm. Presented by East Hants Community Chorale to help cover costs for our trip to New York. Tickets are $10 each or $30 for a family.

White Gift Sunday! We will celebrate White Gift Sunday on December 17th at Riverview. You are invited to fill a white bag with items for the Food Bank: peanut butter, cereal, canned chicken, turkey or ham, apple juice, canned fruit.

Nativity Scenes! Some of you sent me pictures of your nativity scenes last year before you packed them away, some of you may not have been worshipping with us last year. If you haven’t sent me a photo or two or three, there is still time! Please send them by Dec. 13th; I plan to show the video in church on December 17th.

Sign Up Board! The middle board in the Riverview entryway is the Sign-Up Board! All the sign-up sheets for various events and activities will be there.
